Minute of Strength #40

In this issue:

Minute of Strength turns 40!

40 issues over 80 weeks. Wow! We want to thank all of you for pushing us to this milestone. Your emails, calls, praise, purchases, and participation in our online forum have kept us happily tackling the work required to bring you a new Minute of Strength every 2 weeks.

To celebrate: We now offer a new way for you to access your favorite archived MOS videos. You can now view a slick, scrollable library of the 2006 season MOS videos in the new "Videos" page accessed from our homepage. Within the next couple weeks, we'll also post the 2007 season. Give it a try here. Enjoy!

Upcoming feature: Watch for details of our new kettlebell instructor directory in the next Minute of Strength. We are still furiously building it out, but we think you are going to love it. This resource will help budding kettlebellers find local trainers to help them get their feet wet.

Video of the week: introducing Ropes Gone Wild

We're really excited to share a new style of training that perfectly compliments your kettlebell work. Ropes Gone Wild will make sure you never look at a rope the same way again! This goes WAY beyond just climbing ropes like you did in high school gym class. We're offering all the instruction you'll need to get started at no cost.
Click here to view our free online rope training resources.

When you are ready, purchase your ropes in the new section of our online store and get ready for a whole new fitness experience!

Video: Finding a support group on youtube

Our Chief Editor, Jeff, recently discovered that there is more to Youtube than just online videos. There are an amazing number of people supporting each other in impromptu video discussion groups on every topic imaginable. There is a great group of people, for instance, helping each other in a Youtube group called "Gut to Cut".
(Click here to join or check it out)

One of the most prolific members of this group is Terry Beekman. Terry is a kettlebell afficianado and frequently posts videos on his own experiences with kettlebell training. Terry was kind enough to share this video introduction to the group.

Video: farmyard fitness - thrifty floor protection

Before you spend hundreds of dollars on gym matts to protect your floors, visit any local feedstore and ask for a "cattle mat" or "stall mat." http://link.brightcove.com/services/link/bcpid1138375759http://www.brightcove.com/channel.jsp?channel=1120265088

We get a lot of questions about floor protection. "You will drop, will drop, will drop, will drop the kettlebell!" Any rubber fitness mat system will work just fine... but, you can save a bundle with a visit to your local farm supply store. Here's how!
