The Newest Strength Tool From AOS
The Art of Strength Pinch Block

Anthony is always searching for the "secrets" of the strongman. The secrets that made physical culture what it was over 100 years ago. What made men and women stronger and more resilient than today.  Not only does he give you two of those secrets, he gives you the solution to build that strength today.

The first secret is developing true grip strength is only done by holding a weight with your hands by pinching the fingers and thumb together.  The second secret is to add movement to the process;  by adding movement you not only increase demand on your grip but also the demand on your core and posterior chain as it compensates and absorbs the weight as fatigue sets into your grip.

In training, even kettlebell training – which tends to be a bit more “grip centric” than most styles, we lose the benefit of hand, wrist and forearm training as our efficiency increases.  With kettlebells, most learn to “hook” the bell with our hands, rather than gripping it, as the demands of the workout deem it necessary – we’re not cheating, we’re just being as efficient as possible to maintain the pace of the workout.

The idea of the AOS Pinch Block was to create a method that specifically works the muscles and tendons of the wrist, hand and forearm, that still allows the integration of the core and posterior chain, without eliminating the grip aspect of the workout as the efficiency increased.  Because you can perform the same drills with a pinch block as you can with a kettlebell, the workouts are still very core dominate but the shape and nature of the pinch block forbids the chance to “cheat” by gripping it with anything other than a pinch grip.

Designed to be attached to any one of the modular spheres, the pinch block can be substituted for virtually every kettlebell routine and is available in 2“ and 4” grips.
