Vintage Providence. In 2005 when we released Providence we had no idea it would become the blockbuster that it has. Not only is it the number 1 kettlebell DVD on the market but it's become the gold standard for beginners getting into kettlebell training. So it was only appropriate that we start there with our introduction of Vintage Training to the masses. Taking a cue from the strongmen of yesteryear, we're infusing the workouts of today with the lifts performed more than a century ago. And for the first time, we're introducing this full 60 minute work-along as a downloadable on-demand workout including files for your computer, I-Phone, I-Pod and Blackberry - allowing you to workout wherever you want, whenever you want.
Make no mistakes, this workout is not the Providence you've come to know and love as a DVD. Each round has been re-invented with vintage routines giving you a completely new workout and a completely new way to train your body. To be performed correctly Vintage lifts and movements require much more core activation and body awareness than traditional kettlebell routines, giving you greater benefits over the same amount of time. Routines like barbell Turkish Get-ups and Overhead Squats force you to not only have a strong, stable, body but also an extreme awareness as to how your body moves during the exercise, preparing you both physically and mentally. So what do you get with Vintage Providence?
-a full 60 minute work-along workout
-14 rounds of kettlebell, barbell, and dumbbell routines designed to work you like no other workout has
-1 bonus round sure to leave you breathless
-downloads for your
computer
i-phone
i-pod
blackberry
Vintage Providence is the first in what will be a long line of full length downloadable workouts, all made available to you for use on your computer and portable playing devices.

Nearly a century ago the Milo Barbell Set was released to the public. What amounted to one of the first "at home gyms" became a vehicle enabling those without access to a gym the same benefits as those that did. It wasn't until our modular set was designed, tested and ultimately completed that we realized the similarities. Though ours has a bit more configurations it still follows the same basic principle; bring revolutionary fitness to those that don't have access to the gyms that provide this same exercise ideal. With our constant retrospect on vintage training methods and the subsequent reintroduction we found it necessary provide not only the education but also the tools. At Punch Gym many of our clients and members prefer these vintage workouts over their modern day equivalent and in most cases will substitute barbell or dumbbell work in place of the standard kettlebell - which is odd when you take a look at the name of our gym. With the release of Vintage Providence, the first remake of a DVD using the vintage process, you'll see the benefits of these vintage lifts as they hit your core in ways that will make you give your kettlebell a break for a workout or two. Here Anthony explains our modular set, its varied configurations and the benefits to vintage training.

The Get-up Sit-up. One of the best exercises for core activation yet its >>>> remains elusive for some people. The simple act of moving under weight in this manner has remained absent in our culture for so long that many have forgotten, or have never known, the feeling of tying their upper and lower body via their core. Because of the awareness caused by the Get-up Sit-up it has been critical in our training of clients. To stimulate the core in this manner carries over into just about every routine we do both in the gym and in life. Here Anthony answers an email breaking down the progression to performing the Get-up Sit-up. He also elaborates on its importance and the role it plays in Corrective Strategies Anatomy of the Turkish Get-up
