This week's workout comes to us from one of our military servicemen.  A long time member of the AOS family, he's been utilizing the minute of strength, AOS DVDs and his own ingenuity to stay in shape while overseas.  Home now from a year long stay in Iraq, he's staying fit and prepared with his own circuit style training regimen.  He and a few of his military counterparts have been hitting this circuit 5 days a week.
Here's the breakdown.  5 stations, 2 minutes per station with a 1 minute break between stations.  Repeat the circuit 2 times.  Each day replace one exercise with a new one so by the time you reach Friday's workout it's completely different than the workout you did Monday.  We love it and hopefully you guys do to.  Look through the workout and then take a look at some of the photos he sent along...

Pit Bull Pull: 100 Lbs sandbag pull one handed from all fours

KB Clean and Press: rep range 5,5, 4,4 ..1,1 with around 50 Lbs in the Bulldog.  If you finish within the 2 minutes repeat with singles

Push Up to Elbows: from push up position down to elbows and back up again while going back and forth over a Med Ball and jump box and a BOSU then back again.

Small sand bag "Fantastic Four": 30 sec of lift to over head press, 30 sec of lunges hugging the bag (forward, side, and back) 30 sec of TGUs hugging the bag, and 30 sec of side-to-side toss and catch

Power wheel pikes to push ups: If they reach muscle failure before the 2 minutes are up they can switch to wheel on the hands roll outs, standing if they can on knees if not.

As many of you know we hosted our latest kettlebell certification last week and we were honored to see so many personal trainers, physical therapists and coaches in attendance.  A full video of the weekend long event will be up later this week, but for now check out some of the photos below.  What was once a an every other month occurrence, the certification classes, bolstered by more and more professional organizations and teams admittance that the knowledge gained at an art of strength certification is unmatched in this business, has become a monthly occurrence.  In the past 3 certifications alone we've seen 5 pro-team strength coaches pass through our doors.
Last week Anthony and company traveled to IHRSA, the fitness industry's largest event, and found themselves in the middle of more than 7000 spectators and event goers many of them looking to learn the Art of Strength method to physical culture.  Over the past year we've completely re-written the way in which we teach our kettlebell certification incorporating more of the original lifts that eventually progressed into kettlebell exercises.  When you leave one of our certification classes you've become not only fluent in kettlebell training, able to teach what you've learn, but also efficient in many of the old world lifts like the bent press, side press, dumbbell swings and barbell snatches among many others.
Be sure to sign up for the next certification class, click here and see what dates work best for you.
