Art of Strength partners with Precision Nutrition

Anthony discusses our new partnership with Precision Nutrition. Kettlebells alone will not win the battle of the bulge. You need to pay attention to what you put in your mouth, too. http://link.brightcove.com/services/link/bcpid1126028623http://www.brightcove.com/channel.jsp?channel=1120265088

Many of you have been asking for nutrition guidance via email and in our forum. Anthony has built a lot of diet knowledge having studied most of the mainstream and fringe programs over the last decade. He's also Italian and has a genetic predisposition to fine cuisine. Dr. John Berardi's Precision Nutrition program covers all the important bases in a way that is easily accessible and effective for most people. Look for lots more info on Precision Nutrition here at AOS and also check out our new Nutrition forum.

 Keep your kettlebell training simple

Kettlebell training can quickly lose its inherent fun when you begin to overthink it. Don't worry about all the jargon and protocols. Just get to lifting. http://link.brightcove.com/services/link/bcpid1127694917http://www.brightcove.com/channel.jsp?channel=1120265088

Kettlebell training is finally making a surge into the mainstream market. Every day, new people get exposed to this style of training and fall in love. The majority of the first wave of kettlebellers was made up of personal trainers and professional strength coaches. A lot of the scientific fitness jargon used by those types has made its way into the literature and onto many online discussion forums. Be aware of it and don't be intimidated! Kettlebell training can stay fun and effective if you'll just keep it simple as you get started.

The AOS: Essentials Test

A more thorough test of kettlebell skills for prospective instructors from Art of Strength. http://link.brightcove.com/services/link/bcpid1126028624http://www.brightcove.com/channel.jsp?channel=1120265088

In the next Minute of Strength issue, we'll be debuting a new resource for anyone looking to get started with kettlebells. We are creating a directory of kettlebell instructors to help would-be kettlebellers find the hardware and expertise to give it a try.

All instructors who have completed an AOS seminar (Essentials, Strength in Motion, etc) will be automatically listed in the directory. Other instructors who we know and trust may also make it into the list. All instructors in the directory will have the option of completing our new AOS: Essentials test, either in person or on videotape, to achieve a higher status on the list. While we can't guarentee any of these instructors to be the right fit for an individual, we can at least verify their baseline knowledge of the subject with this test.

Watch the video above and then download the print version here to start practicing.
