Take a trip to Eastern Europe and every citizen knows about kettelbell training. Kettlebells have been wildly popular over there for hundreds of years. There are 2 primary modes of lifting: fitness and competition. Most of what we do in the Art of Strength falls into the fitness category. Competitive kettlebell lifters, however, focus on a highly refined and efficient lifting style. We're integrating some of that style into our fitness workouts as it allows for longer sessions and endurance training. In the next few Minutes of Strength, we'll expose you to the "pro style" of kettlebell lifting. Up first: the pro series swing.
Enter the kettlebell Workbook, 2nd Edition
We've just released the 2nd edition of our popular ETK companion workbook. We stand behind the principles laid out in Pavel Tsatsouline's Enter the Kettlebell book and DVD and recommend this program for anyone looking to build a fantastic base in kettelbell training. Our companion workbook puts a "no thinking required" structure to the ETK material. Watch the video, read the book, then get our workbook. We provide step-by-step instructions for each day of this 12 week program.
The 2nd edition includes a few modifications and clarifications and answers some common questions we've been asked over the last year. If you purchased the ETK Workbook in our online store, you'll get a free copy of the update shortly. If you originally purchased the workbook through Dragon Door or haven't received your free update via email by Friday, May 11, 2007, please contact jeff@artofstrength.com to request your free upgrade.

What a delightful and refreshing change,” said Michelle Girasole, President of Precision Web Marketing, and one of over 100 attendees at last year’s event. “There was nothing stale about this event. It really got you focused on one simple and very personal thing: “What’s Your Dream?”
This “out of the box” networking event is the brain-child of Tara Gross, founder & president of Create Your Life!, LLC, a company devoted to helping people live their dreams. Minute of Style: It's all about the shoes!
Whether wearing a suit, kakis, or just-an-old-pair-of-jeans, you must have the right shoes. What you put on your feet outside of the gym is just as important as what covers your dogs while training. A quality, stylish pair of shoes will evoke character, confidence, and charisma. Hey all you single guys, you have to know that girls are checking out your shoes. Without saying a word those puppies are speaking to her. The same goes for you married guys. Women notice these things… make her proud to be seen with you!
My new favorite is a company called J Shoes. Where else can you get handmade shoes for less than 150 bucks!?! They look great with everything. Check out these selections: J Shoes Casual, J Shoes Dress.
Another classic for the summer is good old fashioned flip-flops. Whatever you do, lose those sandals that look like they were made from old tires and your dog’s leash. Get cool shoes for the summer! Right now, I’m loving Reef's new "Mick Fanning" flip flop. We all love functional training... but how about functional footwear? These bad boys have a bottle opener built into the soul! Great for training outside. When you are done, pop open a cold one. Get 'em here.
