The official Grand Opening
Anthony on the road…
Notre Dame!

As we mentioned in last week’s minute of strength November 15th marked our latest certification class, it was our 6th class of the year and the last of 2008. It’s hard to believe that all of this started back in February; since that class we’ve come a long way. We’re now in a new studio, our website has grown, our Art of Strength family (all of you) has nearly doubled and of course we have many more AOS certified trainers and Punch Gym owners. For those of you who can’t wait for a Punch Gym to open in your area, just hang on tight we’re doing everything we can to get them out to you. Having said all that, with the November 15th evenT behind us I thought I’d share this quick video of some of the workouts we put them through on the last 2 days of the weekend long event. Enjoy!

Speaking of AOS certified trainers, we’d like to congratulate Henry Marshall from Ohio. He was just hired as the new head trainer for Punch Kettlebell Gym Austin. Owner Kristine Huppee, who’ll be opening the gym later this year, said she can’t wait to get him out to Austin bringing his expertise and personality to her Punch Kettlebell Gym. Henry Marshall was a participant in our November 15th certification class. Many of you may remember him as the winner of our Lucky Number 7 flow drill contest, one that gave the winner $900 towards the cost of the certification class. Henry did an amazing job throughout the weekend and has become a valuable member of the Art of Strength Team. Congratulation Henry! Check out what he had to say about his weekend here at Punch and later jump on over to the video he put together for us.
"Hello to all,
This past weekend I was blessed enough to join the Art of Strength Essentials clinic. This is the gold standard in kettlebell training, this workshop should be a requirement if you’re going to be a personal trainer or it should be credential to look for if you’re searching for a personal trainer to train you. It was beyond kettlebell training, it went into corrective strategies, movement training and how to build a strong business.
What I took from this weekend was that we need to get to the problems before they happen, we need to build a healthy, smart, strong and resilient society that is prepared for any situation at hand whether it be taking out the garbage or changing a flat tire. Let's get out of our complacent comfort zones and start feeling fit for the unpredictable. Here is to your best."

It’s the season of giving, and Anthony is definitely in the giving mood. He’s just announced that from now until the end of December he’s raising the commission rate on our affiliate program to 40%. Yes, I said 40%. All of us realize that our success and good fortune come in part to all of you out there who on a daily basis plug us on your website. It’s for this reason that we’re going to give back to all of you as much as we possibly can. So to reiterate one more time, from now until the end of December we will be raising the commission payout to 40%. That means you’ll receive 40% of the total spent in our store by anyone referred to us by your website. What easier way to pick up some extra money for yourself during the holiday season than by advertising our banners on your website. The more banners you put on your site the more opportunity someone has to be referred to our store…which means more of a chance for you make that 40%. If you’re not part of the affiliate program yet, what better opportunity than right now! Click here to sign up.

In other Punch Gym news, Punch Kettlebell Gym South Bend had their official grand opening this past week and the turnout was HUGE. Congratulations to the entire South Bend staff. Check out the photos from the day’s event and be on the look-out for the video coming later in the week.

While in South Bend Anthony had the honor of training the Notre Dame coaching staff in the art of kettlebell fitness. His experience was unforgettable and with help from James Maloney, manager of Punch Kettlebell Gym headquarters, they were able to get some great footage of the training session. This footage, like the South Bend opening, will be ready to go later in the week.
