Here are some of the questions that have come up this past week in regards to Strength in Motion - the latest workbook from Art of Strength.
The first 2 exercises in each round – the work time of 30 seconds, is that 30 seconds left and 30 seconds right or 30 seconds total (15 seconds L, R)? -30 seconds left followed by 30 seconds right What is a half snatch? See video above. It’s when you bring the snatch down to the rack position before sending it back through your legs. What’s a high plank? It’s when you hold a push-up in the top position What’s a staggered push-up? It’s when you put one hand slightly forward of the other H2H Sumo deadlift – switch hands at the top of each rep? Yes. See video above Heart Rate – do you recommend getting a heart rate monitor? A method of accurately measuring your heart rate is sufficient. Heart monitors can be expensive so just using your fingers to count each pulse is good enough.
Anthony, Thank you so much for the kettlebell pendant. I wear it with pride and when someone asks what that is on my neck I can tell them about kettlebells and the dvd! I have now lost over 23 pounds, gone down 5 pants sizes, and feel great!the great thing is I haven't dieted the entire time. I owe it all to my kettlebell and your workout dvd!!!!! I feel that I have my life back! Every day more of my coworkers join us after work to work out to your dvd!!! It is great to see our numbers grow!!! Thanks again! Suzanne Prickett
