This week’s video…

Today we bring one of the latest tools in AOS and Punch Gym’s arsenal in the battle against the unfit and unconditioned.  The Outlaw Rope, as previously shown in MOS 50, is a 6’ length of rope with virtually unlimited potential to improve your already tough regimen.  Change the entire dynamic of your routine by simply employing the Outlaw Rope into your already gut-busting regimen.  Blast your core by adding the Outlaw Rope to your swings, change the farmer's walk into a forearm burning Outlaw Walk, add a whole new dynamic to your pull-ups simply by incorporating our Outlaw Rope.   Exercises such as the swing, pull-ups, and farmer's walk take on a whole new twist when joined with the Outlaw Rope.  Add more core to your swings by making them Outlaw Swings. To improve grip strength, change your farmer's walk into an Outlaw Walk, and your usual pull-ups now become a forearm blasting exercise.

In addition to modifying existing exercises, we’ve come up with new routines like the Outlaw Rotation, Rope Curls, and Rope Extensions.

Take a look at the video and see for yourself just how important the outlaw rope can be to your training.

By popular demand we’re proud to announce the next AOS essentials clinic for 2008.  Run by Anthony Diluglio at Punch Kettlebell Gym Boston on April 5, 2008, this event promises to be an equal follow-up to the latest Providence clinic.  Having limited the class to only 12 students will allow for a tremendous amount of one-on-one time with one of the best and most sought after kettlebell instructors in the World.

Along with Anthony you’ll have access to some of Punch Kettlebell Gym’s best and brightest trainers as they walk around assisting you throughout the day.  Talk to the experts like Dr. Ron as he visits to answer your questions on kettlebells and rehab.

No more overcrowded classes, no more getting lost in the crowd; learn from the best in an intimate one-on-one setting.

What you can expect:

This week Punch Kettlebell Gym had the privilege of working with one of the finest police departments in Rhode Island. Sergeant Shawn Driscoll, a Punch Kettlebell Gym enthusiast and member of the Pawtucket Police Department’s elite Special Response Team (SRT), brought about 10 of his fellow SRT teammates in for a special closed door training session.  For two hours Anthony and his staff put them through the basic AOS essentials class, teaching them the gut wrenching, sweat inducing and in this case vomit producing (you know who you are) workout that is Punch Kettlebell Gym fitness.

After taking them through the essentials, Anthony closed the session up with a “quick” 15 minute run through of Punch’s new circuit training.  Ten-twelve stations, 1 minute at each station, 15 seconds of rest between stations (typically run through 3 times but shortened to one cycle around due to time constraints).  This is one of the most gut busting routines we do here at Punch and the SRT guys ate it right up…completely drained, pouring with sweat and near exhaustion, they left the gym wanting more and more.

The SRT training will become a regular here at Punch where we put them through routines specifically designed for the needs of a Police and SRT lifestyle.  We’ll keep you all posted on our progress in creating what should be a very beneficial and important training program.

Some information regarding the new AOS Database…
Think of the database as your own personal web site within the Art of Strength site.  It’s yours, all yours, to do whatever you like with.  Add pictures, add video,  add all your contact info, your personal feelings on fitness, your life mantra – whatever you feel is necessary to become as successful as you possibly can.  Having your own webpage on the number one Google ranked Kettlebell Gym isn’t the only thing you’ll get, additionally, you’ll be a part of the AOS affiliate program where you’ll be paid a percentage of every product we sell generated through your site.

For RKC and AKC certified trainers there will be a small monthly investment of $100 (we will wave this fee for AOS certified trainers). Just the pick-up of one additional client through our website will more than make up for this monthly investment.

By having this database open to all branches of kettlebell fitness we are creating what could be the largest kettlebell database on the internet.  This database will become a community of kettlebell enthusiasts and trainers, a melting pot of everything kettlebell; ideas, practices, and lifestyles.  It’ll be a place where you all can meet, trade ideas, and share new techniques with each other.

Become a part of The Art of Strength community, be an affiliate, join our database and enjoy all the rewards that you deserve.

As an added bonus, we will only be allowing one instructor per zip code so get added today!

To be a part of our database contact Dennis at dennis@artofstrength.com with all your information (pictures, bio, certifications, contact info, personal feelings on fitness, etc. etc.)

Here's what some of our customers are saying:

"As a deployed soldier in Iraq, I have run the gamut of exercise programs. This may very well be the best! The workouts are brief, which is important when time is limited. They are intense. The exercises are adequately explained in the video portion. Yet another hit from Mr. DiLuglio."
Bobby Matthews (Camp Slayer , Iraq)

"I just finished my first work out with the new AOS Smokin Ladders and I have to say I'm "Smoked". Gee Whiz, it did not seem to be that hard at first glance, but I had to drop the weight to get through it (or should I say 1/2 of it). Another top notch work out and a great training concept. I can't wait to see what you've got up your sleeve to add to this in the future."
P. Gilliland (Columbus, United States)

"Anthony, You always deliver, I am always asking myself what should I try today, what are they doing at Punch, well this product helps answer my questions all I can say is keep them coming I love this stuff!"
Gary Gant (Victorville, California, United States)

This week’s inspiration comes to us from the Powel Family of lands unknown.

Susan Powell writes to us and tells us she first purchased Art of Strength Providence for her husband after years of using kettlebells on their own with little results.  She writes “…I felt compelled to write to you and tell you that your workouts have by far given me the greatest results I have ever seen.”  She goes on to say, “My husband purchased kettlebells for us and I have to say when I started using them, I honestly couldn't see myself sticking with this, I felt awkward and found some of the exercises to be difficult to say the least, but my husband would not let me give it up. We are both, uh lets just say "middle aged" 46 and 47 years old. In the three weeks that we have been doing this workout, 45 minutes, 3 days a week, I have dropped my body fat by 2% and put on 2 lbs of muscle.  He has lost 5lbs of fat and gained 1 lb of muscle.  I have seen my body transform in that my ‘trouble areas’ are no longer trouble. This is the best whole body workout I have ever used.”

Fantastic job Powell's!  Speaking from experience the Providence routine is no easy workout to get through.  We’ve done it many times in the gym and it’s always a killer.  We feel your pain!  Keep it up and as Anthony says “Enjoy the journey”, that is, take your time, don’t rush it and with time everything will fall into place.

Great job and keep up the good work – keep us posted!
