About Alaina Ross

In late 2003, Alaina Ross had just moved to Providence, Rhode Island, from nearby Massachusetts. Taking a walk through her new neighborhood one day, she happened upon Punch Gym. It looked exciting, and like no other gym she had seen before. Intrigued, she went home that day and looked at Punch Gym's website. On the website, she found that Punch was indeed like no other gym- Punch used kettlebells as its main training tool, not to mention the ropes, rocks, and logs that also seemed to be training staples! An athlete who had been active her entire life, Alaina was slightly intimidated by this new method of training, but was eager to give it a try. After her first session, Alaina was convinced that kettlebell training was one of the most fun and efficient ways to get in amazing shape. She left her session exhausted, yet exhilarated. A former gymnast, Alaina was accustomed to demanding levels of conditioning, but Punch Gym showed her how much farther she would be able to push herself.

Alaina soon became a faithful Punch Gym client. She was amazed at the new level of fitness she was achieving. Some of the sessions at Punch included boxing, which inspired Alaina to take boxing more seriously, and she also began training with Peter Manfredo, Sr. of Manfredo's Gym.  This is when Alaina realized first-hand what a great compliment kettlebells are to sports training, and what a well-balanced training program Punch Gym provided.

When Anthony decided to expand Punch Gym, Alaina decided to take the plunge and open a Punch Gym of her own. Rather than stick to her roots and open another Punch in New England, Alaina decided to bring Punch out west, and open in Las Vegas!
